When Sheena and Steve reached out to me to capture their wedding I was pretty stoked. I love working with super fun couples and really like the port area of Long Beach down by Queen Mary which was where their REEF WEDDING was. With just four hours of coverage we had to make due with our time constraints, but I managed to pull it off by thinking quick on my feet and cutting time where it needed to be cut. The great thing about THE REEF is that everything is in close proximity from prep to ceremony to reception, you could be in any of the areas you need to be in just a few minutes. This made time work pretty good for us.

It was such a beautiful wedding I just wish I had more time for some creative captures. One has to remember though it’s not always about creating that portfolio image. Because of our short time together we opted for a more documentary approach to the day, keeping the couples portraits to a minimum and just enjoying the party ( you know…just in case you’re wondering why you don’t see many down below ). THE REEF LONG BEACH was a great setting for Sheena and Steve, we had these great cool breezes from the ocean front that were a god send for the heat.
