Ahh the FIGUEROA MOUNTAIN FARMHOUSE WEDDING. What a beautiful venue this was nestled up in the mountains near Ojai California. I love when I get the chance to do smallish style weddings that have a very slow pace. Every once in a while one will pop up and the day just feels surreal and dreamy haha. I don’t just say that to be funny though they actually do feel a little dreamy. The air is thin and clean, color seems to pop a little better to our eyes and most importantly guests are wayyy looser at a destination wedding. Not only are Gail and Brian incredible people, they also have incredible taste. There was wine and cheese everywhere I looked surrounded by beautiful mason jar flower vases. The look perfectly matched the character.

I did some scouting before hand and had noticed this BEAUTIFUL wheat field behind the FIGUEROA MOUNTAIN FARMHOUSE. I used to have to dope love seat I’d shoot on so I decided to trek on out and set it in the middle of the field for a nice surprise and also a little more of a contrast to the natural setting. This worked out PERFECT!

If I were to be able to go back and change one thing it would be to have stayed longer. Gail and Brian were such a fun and laid back couple that I felt like we had known each other for years. This is a prime example of why now I try my best to get to know my clients and invest not only my services but myself into their lives. Had I been one to just show up blindly I am sure the flow of the day would have been very different at this kick ass FIGUEROA MOUNTAIN FARMHOUSE WEDDING.
