RANCHO PALOS VERDES ENGAGEMENT | Gail + Brian

Engagement sessions are key to getting to know your photographer. I’ve seen so many examples of Brides telling me they didn’t know or have any type of connection to their hired “tog”. It’s a shame really because of the opportunity lost to create and KYC ( Know Your Client ). It gives my bride and groom the opportunity to get to know me and my style, most importantly though is it gives me a open path to connect, learn and understand what it is about my awesome clients that they are looking for. How far can I push to get the image I’m envisioning? Will they be ok with me being fearless or are they super shy and want me to be ninja like? There are so many variables I need to keep in mind on a wedding day and the perfect time to start plotting the mental aspect is with the engagement session. Which brings me to this awesome RANCHO PALOS VERDES ENGAGEMENT.

Take for example this awesome couple Gail and Brian. Originally they didn’t want a session, basically it was because their wedding date was very close and not a lot of time to schedule. What I did instead was set up our initial meeting in a location that I know would kick ass :). We met for wine and cheese out on the cliffs of San Pedro and after we had gone through the steps of building our relationship I pulled them aside for a mini esession. It couldn’t have worked out more perfect. The tide was low giving us great access to a ridge that extended over the water and the rest is history. They were stoked with the images I captured and on their wedding day they were cool as hell allowing me to do some really great work.

Never underestimate the power of the esession 🙂
