Where to even begin.

Often times you hear about photographer burn out by shooting at the same places over and over, I just can’t understand how this can happen to people. Maybe it’s a lack of motivation or no clarity on creativity but if you ask me I equally love my go to spots as I do finding new spots. Why? Because as Thomas Edison said ” I have not failed, I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work ” hahaha. You might think this an odd choice of quote for photography but really it is quite fitting. When I go to the same places 100 times I am constantly looking to learn new things from it and try to find the hidden angles that others might have missed. The one place I have a field day doing this is the WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL. For Nichole and Peters WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL ENGAGEMENT this is exactly what I did, try to rock it in ways so that their images will be unlike anyone else.

The first thing I like to do is park across the street in the parking garage hahaha. There is a reason for this though, either before or after the session starts I like to go up to the top floor to see how that sky is looking. On the right days you can get some really incredible cityscapes.

When I first spoke with Nichole I immediately knew we’d hit it off. Dry humor, beer lover and good people. Peter is incredibly funny and pretty much up for anything so I knew I had a winning combo here hahaha! Chemistry is everything and I knew by surrounding myself with them we’d get some AMAZING images. Oh and the wedding…it’s at Stone Brewery so HELL YEAH. HAHAHA.

We started out with some wider style shots. I always try to do this because if you start out up in everyone’s grill it can be weird, I mean you just met so you can’t go sliding into home yet you got to play the field, build a little trust, round the bases and then turn it up.

Once the trust was built up and they were comfy then we moved into some of the closer more intimate images, and that’s all she wrote. We spent a solid hour together, got some INCREDIBLE images for their WALT DISNEY CONCERT HALL ENGAGEMENT and as a bonus got to use that LA skyline at the end.

I truly cannot wait to rock with Nichole and Peter at their Stone Brewery Wedding!
