STONE BREWERY WEDDING | Nichole + Peter

Okay. Super dope couple – check, amazing prep location – check, every wedding should be at Stone Brewery – CHECK! What’s so good about having a STONE BREWERY WEDDING you might ask? The list is lengthy and hoppy, but in all seriousness it’s actually pretty damn amazing. In this world of cookie cutter venues ( no offense, I love cookies ) I absolutely LOVE IT when I get to shoot at venues that are out of the norm. They challenge your ability to adapt, your knowledge of light and push your self imposed limitations whatever those may be. What was the other awesome aspect of having a wedding at a brewery, IT’S A BREWERY! The vibe was incredible and 100% of the people were having a great time. I live for environments like this, where everyone has a common denominator and enjoys each others company without cliques. This wasn’t my first rodeo at a brewery wedding and I can tell you that every time it’s the same vibe. Love it.

To say our day went as planned would be an understatement. When working with small wedding parties the room for error on a timeline gets more non-existent as the head count goes down. I think at one point we were like 30min AHEAD of time so we just rocked more pictures and then Nichole and Peter were able to take a nice break. We started the prep at THE LAKEHOUSE in SAN MARCOS. I cannot advise any more highly to have your prep done here if you’re in the area. The rooms are beautiful, it’s right on the lake, they have amazing surroundings and the restaurant across the way is picture friendly so they’ll welcome you in to rock all the cool areas they have there. We used insane mirrors, plate walls, the best color blue walls near restrooms in dark halls hahaha. It was so fun.

When we got to STONE BREWERY we set up for the first look. They have a great walkway right in front for this surrounded by cool greenery. We rocked it and then went in for some creatives in and around the venue. My favorite moment was when we finished up creatives. I had to run out to my car and noticed through the parking lot this EPIC sunset that was about to go down, the only issue…we’re practically in a parking lot, I don’t care at all. I ran back to tell them and that’s all she wrote. What we accomplished in that 5 minutes was beautiful.

Off we went to the ceremony and reception. There’s not too much to write about this because it all flowed so perfectly and organic like. From this point on everyone was partying, mingling and celebrating with Nichole and Peter. Sometime’s it ok to do away with traditions and a wedding is one of those times. There’s absolutely nothing set in stone about how a wedding should go down and the traditions that ARE followed are somewhat archaic, not to say they’re not fun or sentimental moments but I want to clarify, at the end of the day make your wedding yours. If you want to break rules, break them. I’ll 100% get your back. Nichole and Peter did their STONE BREWERY WEDDING the way they wanted to and it was awesome.
