Can you imagine a world without this feeling? Love drives us so much in ways that we actually do spend our entire lives trying to figure out. It’s the Unicorn of life except instead of it standing out among the woods, it’s the needle in the hay stack of emotions. This is why we are so afraid to pursue it and at the same time never ever want to let it go. You notice when two people are IN love, and this was apparent to me the first time I met Amanda and Joey for their SOLSTICE CANYON ENGAGEMENT.

Being a big fan of the Renaissance era I knew we were all going to have a great time. Growing up I would always go and the one thing I remembered after all these years is that people who dig on that era have huge hearts and amazing personalities. The era is brutal in it’s beauty and everything is earned through compassion and will. I truly wish more had an appreciation for it.

We opted to start further up the trail and work our way back down which was really nice because during that time we get to talk, laugh and just generally loosen up to one another. I love this and it really set the tone for the rest of the day. There is an AMAZING abandoned structure further up the trail that you’re not really supposed to impede upon but….shhhh hahaha.

Every session I rock I try one or two new ideas too see how they turn out and if they’ll be good for future use. For this one I made sure to have my old 10in Samsung tablet with me in case I wanted to try some reflections. I think it turned out pretty rad!

What was so rad about this SOLSTICE CANYON ENGAGEMENT session was that Amanda and Joey also did a traditional Celtic ceremony. It was incredible, beautiful and so intimate. We found an amazing patch where the sun was just passing through the trees, they did hands wraps wearing traditional attire and…well just check out the images. It’s too much to write about because being there left me speechless.
