In what may be easily the most entertaining film about getting married lye a quote that contradicts the comedy. The truth of it ringing in our minds and yet most still don’t acknowledge the strength of it’s words. I’ve done so much in my life to surround myself with people who share the same determination to be happy. In short, those around me are not judgmental, have open minds, are quick witted and the not so easily offended type. Life is too short to have a negative mindset. This is why I LOVED working with Beth and Matt at their SIERRA LA VERNE COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING, their unrelenting positive outlook on well…from what I had seen was everything. The joy they took in not only making sure they themselves had a great time during their wedding but that their family and friends did too.

We started our day at the SHERATON FAIRPLEX HOTEL in POMONA, an awesome hotel across from the POMONA FAIRGROUNDS that offered some really nice areas to create and document. While our time there was short it wasn’t lacking in awesomeness. Our Prep, First Look and Family pictures were knocked out and then we headed over to the actual Fairgrounds for some fun wedding party images. The greatest part of this was that there was practically no one around! We basically had the entire place to ourselves.

One of Beth’s big wants was to be able to do some of the session with horses, so guess what? WE DID THAT! She locked up a small and intimate equestrian school where we were able to do just that with these majestic creatures of the prairie. A couple of them were celebrity as well showcasing their acting chops in films like Secretariat and Sea Biscuit, two outstanding films about rising up to defeat the odds when no one will give you a chance. My personal favorite is Hidalgo where it takes that lesson, cranks it up to 11 and adds themes of will, confidence and undying respect for the journey. Horses are without a doubt beautiful creations and to be able to experience their presence is something I recommend for everyone.

The ceremony was filled with guests, Mariachi and all positive vibes. Everywhere I looked was someone having a great time, it’s in these moments that are one of the hundreds of reasons I wonder how awesome of a career I have. Beth and Matt’s SIERRA LA VERNE COUNTRY CLUB reception was love. Not only was the layout great here but the dance floor had a reflective ceiling that was great to play with for some creative shots. I love playing in the background and watching everything unfold and to see the night blossom into it’s party was awesome.
