And in all seriousness no one ever will. The love and admiration Amanda and Duncan had in their eyes at their LA ATHLETIC CLUB WEDDING was soulful, lasting and front row for everyone to witness. Armed with an incredible wedding party, a seriously kick ass venue and the love of everyone in attendance. You might remember we had that awesome engagement session at Solstice Canyon and El Matador Beach, the love shown there was equal if not more amazingly on display at their LA ATHLETIC CLUB WEDDING.

We started our day at the LA ATHLETIC CLUB and ended our day there. I love that Amanda and Duncan chose to stay there the night before and get prep done. First the LA ATHLETIC CLUB is beautiful, styled like a 1920’s athletic club…well actually it IS from that era and was a real deal club so the rooms are dedicated to that dope culture. There is a secret Speak Easy that’s insane so of course we had to rock that, the club is located right in DTLA which provided a great back drop to take the guys, access to the roof for some Copperfield magic to make and an epic ballroom with floor to ceiling windows. There is not enough time in the day to fully capture all the great stuff it had to offer.

The ceremony and cocktail hour was intimate but full of emotion. You could just tell everyone there had been touched in some way by Amanda and Duncan. I bring this up because in the last few years I’ve noticed the uptick in the amount of guests that are glued to their phones no matter the moment happening and in some ways it just makes me mad and in others well…let’s just say I don’t like the current cultures etiquette sometimes. I’ll be nice. It was super awesome to see everyone vested in the moment and actually living in the moment instead of using their phones to watch the game, go on Insta or checking emails. Live the moment people, experience it, cherish it and store it in that beautiful brain of yours. Life is WAY more special that way. So hats off to the guests and family of Amanda and Duncan, you rocked.

Once the ceremony was over we rocked the roof of the LA ATHLETIC CLUB. Right in the heart of downtown we had a beautiful skyline perfect for pictures. Our time up top was brief but we nailed it.

My favorite of the night came during the cake cutting, see Duncan had bought a Daruma Doll a very very long time ago ( can’t recall when ) and when he bought it he colored in one of the eyes and made his wish. So during the cake cutting he reached under the table, pulled out the Daruma and colored in the other eye all while telling Amanda his wish came true. It was so awesome and being the big fan of Japanese ghost lore that I am it sent goosebumps down my arms knowing that he had made that wish for something beautiful.

Amanda and Duncan’s LA ATHLETIC CLUB WEDDING was pure class and I raise my glass ( is it weird I actually just raised my coffee cup hahaha ) in congratulating them on their new chapter.
