It’s me again, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man! Today’s awesome post is Michelle and Danny’s LA ARBORETUM ENGAGEMENT ! Before I get into the pics let just tell you a little something about the LA ARBORETUM, it is amazing. The entire mission of theirs is to preserve that SoCal life and distinct climate. It is HUGE and is split into so many different areas so no matter what month you go there is always something beautiful. It is also home to the hundreds of INCREDIBLE Peacocks that roam around. I love that the LA ARBORETUM is right in my backyard and so hospitable to photographers, if only another place would take note ( cough cough Descanso Gardens ).
Meeting these two was so much fun and working with them was even more so! It always amazes me when you meet people who instantly uplift the mood or shifts your attitude in a positive direction, these are those people. Just chalk that up to one more reason I am blessed in life.
We started out near the front of the LA ARBORETUM near the restrooms HAHA. See not a lot of photographers go here but I had seen a faint pop of pink when driving up and NEW we’d have at least Cherry Blossom to play with. Right I was and off we played. They bloom and wilt so quick so to have a few thriving right off the bat was a incredible to me.
We made our way to the midpoint of the LA ARBORETUM so we could use their barn for a few different looks ( another great reason to shoot here is diversity in looks ). Quick tip, make sure you have a map because with 127 acres you can easily go the wrong way. On our way to the bamboo forest this happened hahaha. Once we arrived at the small pocket of bamboo we got our shoot on ( see what I did there ).
By the time we were finished the sun was getting sleepy so I grabbed some nice backlit ones on a small hill. I love when the sun get’s tired.
Time to prep for their Long Beach wedding coming up in a couple weeks, this will be a total blast!
