Super stoked today to bring you this CORRIGANVILLE ENGAGEMENT with Sara and Kevin! They came down all the way from my favorite state of Washington to rock this session with me before the wedding ( which I might add will be incredible out at WALNUT GROVE. ) Corriganville is this cool little spot on the outskirts of Simi Valley. Sara and Kevin wanted something a little adventurous but at the same time the peacefulness of nature, Corriganville is PERFECT for this! What used to be a lot for shooting old Hollywood westerns it really does have it all nature wise. Mountains made of huge rocks to climb, trails, whispy grass, wooded areas, it’s like a little mini forest. The other thing I love is that it’s completely secluded from everything.

We started out the day with something I call the breaking the ice shots haha. What I mean by that is I need to get a feel for the natural body language of a couple. No poses, no direction, nothing. I want to see how they play together because after about 5min of this you get a great feel of what needs to be done. We found this great little area where the sun was peeping behind this cut out in the trees for the ice breakers. It’s not all the time that get I really good shots at the start of the session because lets face it, we’re not in front of cameras all of the time so we don’t know what to do. Right? Well right off the bat I was getting some really great stuff from Sara and Kevin. The body play and vibe was killer and I just told them to have fun with each other. It’s honestly that simple sometimes. Having a CORRIGANVILLE ENGAGEMENT is super fun and even just running through it you can come away with beautiful works.
