I was stoked to be able to work with Byung's family. The moment Candis brought it up I knew I'd get them at the beach somehow haha. I really wanted to capture this because of Byungs love of surfing and knew mixing the elements for an actual reason as opposed to a " lets go shoot at the beach because hey...beach" would be awesome. The underside of Seal Beach Pier was perfect, everything from the high tide causing havoc and chasing Olivia away haha to the leading lines of the support beams, and it was overcast to boot at a steady 70degrees...what wasn't to love.
Along the way we found a hidden trail/park area that was fun, an old Caboose, some ice cream hahaha and a park with fall leaves the size of my head. That was extra fun.
Their family has grown so much since I had first met them and you can tell right off the bat that they have grown with a recipe of love, laughter and determination. A great example of how strong roots are grown and flourish throughout.
Thank you three for being awesome and spending the morning with me, OH AND breakfast! That was incredible!
